I’m a full-time freelance animator, working from home since 2020. It still feels a bit unreal that this is my job! I have a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Multimedia Design, but most of my learning has come from working on creative projects with studios and clients.
✦ I believe pastries, sweets anything chocolate are a must for bringing out creativity.

✦ I collect cute pokemon cards, some of the full illustrated ones are beautiful.

Origin Story
As a kid, I was always drawn to animated movies and stories. I loved getting lost in different worlds and characters, even before I knew what “visual storytelling” really meant.
Creativity was always part of my life; I spent hours reading, playing the piano, and playing games. Surprisingly, I didn’t start drawing until I was a teenager, when I discovered digital art.

Study
When it was time to choose a study, I wasn’t sure what direction to take. After exploring a few different paths, I discovered Communication & Multimedia Design (CMD).
I initially chose CMD for the music module and the diversity of creative paths. I didn’t know whether I wanted to do something with music, design, or games — I didn’t even know half of the possibilities back then.

Discovery
That changed when the program introduced me to 2D animation and explainer videos. Creating my first animation opened up a whole new world. For the first time, I saw how I could combine storytelling, design, illustration, sound and animation.
Career
Seven months into my first industry role, an opportunity to freelance came my way and the rest is history!
Today, I work directly or indirectly with clients like Rabobank, Canon, Nationale Nederlanden, NS, and many more!

Future
Looking ahead, I’m excited to keep exploring freelance projects and create more stories that inspire people.
Besides that; I’ve also been sharing my passion for animation online, whether it’s through online workshops, tutorials, or mentoring.
